"Red Hot" was written and recorded by Billy "The Kid" Emerson for Sun Records in 1955, but Billy Lee Riley & His Little Green Men had the biggest hit with it in 1956. Since then, it's been recorded by many others, including Sleepy LaBeef, Ronnie Hawkins, Bob Luman, Sam "The Sham" Samudio, Brian Setzer, and Rick Derringer. The version KFAT played the most was the 1977 recording by Robert Gordon & Link Wray.
